Bright Kids Books, VA started out as a small online store on half.com to sell a few of Dr. Louis A. Picard’s personal books. (Dr. Picard is a member of the Bright Kids Uganda Board of Directors.) After a few years of selling books, Dr. Picard decided to donate all profits to Bright Kids Uganda, and the online store was renamed Bright Kids Books. The online store maintains an inventory of 100 to 300 books that can be purchased on half.com.
To date, the book sales have generated almost $300 for Bright Kids Uganda, and new books continue to flow in, thanks to book drives and generous donations.
